There's an all new Ring of Scale scenario going on right now in Legends of Norrath. You can log on and play the role of Jaled-Dar, the mighty-flying dragon of the Ring of Scale, until Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. PDT. If you defeat Ganak, you'll win the Visage of the Ice Golem loot card for EQ or Vision of Fury loot card for EQII based on your loot preferences.

In Kunark long ago, the winged dragon lords of the Ring of Scale waged war with the airborne Iksar army mounted on their flying Sokokars. Ganak – son of Atrebe and emperor of the Iksar – met with Jaled-Dar – mighty-winged dragon of the Ring of Scale – in a legendary aerial duel over the Field of Bone. They were both incinerated by magic and fire as a result of this battle. What if one had prevailed? How would history have been changed?

So there I am, casually slapping around giants in Sinking Sands, when the world goes black.  I come to in a sumptuous room decorated in Maj'Dul style.  A pretty Dark Elf is leaning over me.  "GOTCHA!" said Kiara.

"Holy Tunare, give a girl some warning next time.  Hey, this place is nice!"

"Take a look around while I get ready for the birthday party," Kiara said, wandering into the bedroom.

The Community Lounge is a private zone on all servers used by Guides, GM, Devs, and Community Managers with a wicked sense of humor.  It's here that the Everquest II 4th Birthday Parties were (and are to be) held on all servers.  It's a fun place!

The luxurious indoor swimming pool is called the wishing pool and has fishing node (quite contested when the zone is busy) which gives fun, no-zone goodies.  There are lots of clickables around the room which produced a couple of house items and some fireworks.  A lamp spawns a djinn story teller, and in the back of the main room are musicians and dancing halfling girls.

This week we're celebrating EverQuest II's fourth Birthday here at Allakhazam and as our present to the community  we're bringing you mini interviews from many of the individuals on the team who've struggled over the years to make EverQuest II the game that you love and play. One of my favorite parts about EverQuest II has always been the art style; I'm a sucker for realism in games. Bill Yeatts, the Art Director for EverQuest II has been working on the game for over four years to help bring that to the table.

Allakhazam : How long have you been working on EverQuest II and how did you get started?

Bill : I have been working on EQII for a little more than 4 years total. (I took a break to work on Untold Legends Dark Kingdom in 2006 though.)

Allakhazam : Over the years, is there a particular change that you’ve seen made to EverQuest II that stands out against the rest?
